Kenan Research Center Finding Aids

This collection contains materials that document the civic and social activities of the Clifton Road Garden Club. Scrapbooks comprise the majority of the collection and detail the club's monthly meetings, beautification projects, and flower show awards earned by members of the club. Garden publications offer more insight into the club's interests including victory gardens, conservation, and flower arranging.

This collection contains minutes and a history of the club. Minutes include membership and financial information, as well as correspondence. Also part of the collection is a rezoning petition that the club developed to protect a neighborhood residential property for sale in 1961.

This collection includes scrapbooks that illustrate the history and, social and civic activities of the club. Community projects, flower shows, and club meetings are detailed in the scrapbooks. Several scrapbooks highlight the club's support of the Wren's Nest and the gardens at Tullie Smith Farm at the Atlanta History Center.

One scrapbook is devoted to the club's civic project landscaping the grounds of the Atlanta Speech School's new location on Northside Parkway in 1967.
